6 THINGS TO DO BEFORE THE WORLD ENDS

SIX THINGS TO DO
BEFORE DOOMSDAY
www.hindustantimes.com - The doomsday prediction 21/12/12 is coming close. According to the Mayan calendar, the world will end on this day. This is simply because there is no more dates in the Mayan calendar. After the 21st of December 2012, the calendar is blank. Thus, people have started predicting that the world is coming to an end on this particular day. If you think and believe that the world is going to end on 21st December, it is high time you start living your life to the lees. Do what you like so that you can live the moment to the fullest. Even if you survive and the prediction goes wrong, you should not regret these memorable days. Thus, here are the top 6 things you should do before doomsday.
Dance with the flash mob: This is one of the best things that you can do to relax and stay happy even in your so called last days! Flash mob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place to spread joy and relieve stress. In this busy life, you need to let yourself go.

Get rid of fear: We all have a fear of some or the other thing. Be it a ride or a sport, the fear of height, speed, death etc has always stopped us from trying it. If you think that the world is coming to an end, do not forget to get rid of your fears beforehand. Swim with the dolphins: Dolphins are one of the best companions who would make your day. Before you die, you should feed the dolphins and swim with these human-friendly mammals. Party like a freak: Whether you live or die, you can party till the end. If you believe in the Mayan calendar and firmly think that doomsday is close, just live your life to the fullest. Go to parties and get drunk. Do not forget the casino! Give time to your loved ones: It is one important thing that you should do before doomsday. Spending some time with your loved ones like family, partner and friends can make you feel loved and better. Visit a place you love: It can be a church, temple, resort or stay in a villa you always desired to stay in. Just make sure you do not empty your bank account completely as doomsday is just a prediction. What if the world doesn't come to an end?

Some people say tomorrow, 21st December, is a perfect time for renewal, rebirth and transformation, but others think it is the doomsday. What are you planning to do these last days before you die? Amrisha, author of this article, suggested to do fun filled things before the world ends, such as getting rid of your fears, dancing with others in public, hanging out with your friends and spending some time with your loved ones. In general terms, people only prefer having fun during these last days, just in case the world ends. On the contrary, we suggest you staying calm with yourself, getting right with God, relatives and friends, asking forgiveness to people you may have offended and peacefully chant sacred mantras - eternal sound energies - to be in contact with the Supreme Lord.

WHAT DO THE VEDIC TEACHINGS TELL US?
Many of the Vedic texts proclaim that in this age of Kali-yuga, mantra meditation is the most dependable process of meditation and deliverance to not only reach a higher consciousness, but to make contact with the Supreme Being. Mantra-yoga is actually a mystical tradition found in almost every spiritual path in the world. ... It all involves the same process, but in the Eastern tradition it is called mantra-yoga because it is the easy process of focusing our minds on the Supreme through His names, which helps spiritualize our consciousness. Man means the mind, tra means deliverance. Therefore, a spiritual mantra is the pure sound vibration for delivering the mind from material to spiritual consciousness. This is the goal of any spiritual path. Although all spiritual traditions have their own prayers or mantras, the Vedic mantras are especially powerful and effective in uniting us with the spiritual realm.
