DISCOVERY OF ARSENIC-BASED LIFE FORM, NASA

ARSENIC-BASED LIFE FORM
DISCOVERED ON EARTH, DISCLOSE NASA
www.washingtonpost.com - NASA held a press conference Thursday afternoon in which they revealed the discovery of arsenic-based life forms on Earth. As Marc Kaufman explained: “All life on Earth - from microbes to elephants and us - is based on a single genetic model that requires the element phosphorus as one of its six essential components. But now researchers have uncovered a bacterium that has five of those essential elements but has, in effect, replaced phosphorus with its look-alike but toxic cousin arsenic.” News of the discovery caused a scientific commotion, including calls to NASA from the White House and Congress asking whether a second line of earthly life has been found. The highly poisonous arsenic is chemically quite similar to phosphorus.

Felisa Wolfe-Simon, a NASA astrobiology research fellow and the research team’s lead scientist, said it was already known that microbes could breathe arsenic; however, this is the first time a microbe has been found to use arsenic in its building blocks. “The definition of life has just expanded,” Ed Weiler, NASA’s associate administrator for the Science Mission Directorate at the agency’s HQ, said today. “As we pursue our efforts to seek signs of life in the solar system, we have to think more broadly, more diversely and consider life as we do not know it.” The importance about the discovery that not all living things are composed of these six essential components means that the chance another kind of life exists outside of our planet has increased significantly.

It had long been the assumption that without six certain essential elements - carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and sulfur - life could not exist. This discovery shows “life-as-we-know-it could be much more flexible than we generally assume or can imagine,” says Felisa Wolfe-Simon the NASA biochemist. The discovery that NOT ALL living things are composed of these six components, means that the chance another kind of life exists outside of our planet has increased significantly, researchers say, and this coincides with the Vedic teachings which say that the entire universe is inhabited, and in all planets exist living entities that have a body suited to the different atmospheres and living conditions.

WHAT DO THE VEDIC TEACHINGS TELL US?
Lord Krishna is the chief King of all kings, and He has created different planets for all kinds of living entities. Even on this planet there are different places for inhabitation by different types of men. There are places like deserts, ice lands, and valleys in mountainous countries ... Similarly, there are also different planets. The planets below the earth down to the Pātāla planet are full of various kinds of living beings; no planet is vacant, as wrongly imagined by the modern so-called scientist. In Bhagavad-gītā we find it said by the Lord that the living entities are sarva-gata, or present in every sphere of life. So there is no doubt that on other planets there are also inhabitants like us, sometimes with greater intelligence and greater opulence. The living conditions for those of greater intelligence are more luxurious than on this earth. There are also planets where no sunlight reaches, and there are living entities who must live there due to their past deeds.
